Pikliz or Haitian spicy slaw
Pikliz- pronounced "pick-lease" - is a condiment in Haitian cuisine of pickled cabbage, carrots, bell peppers and Scotch bonnet peppers. It is often seasoned with garlic and onion and pickled in white vinegar. The very spicy dish is commonly served on meat, fish or carb rich dishes such as fried plantains, potatoes along with other dishes to enhance the flavor.
