About Grann Marie's Delights
What does “Grann” mean?
“Grann” pronounced like “Grand” without the d is a moniker for grandma or grandmother. Since these are some of Grandma Marie’s delights, her online store is called Grann Marie’s Delights, with a nod to her Haitian heritage.
Can I call in my order?
Grann Marie's Delights prefer orders to be made through the website. However, if you are not able to make your order through the site, you can reach out to us via phone @732-508-7253 to place your order. You will need a valid email and/or cell number with a valid form of payment.
Subscriptions
Which one of your products offer subscriptions?
The pikliz or spicy slaw and the epis/spice marinade, currently offer subscription options.
What type of subscriptions do you offer?
We offer a monthly and a quarterly subscription for the pikliz and the epis.
For the Pikliz:
The monthly pikliz subscription is called “Spicy Lover Monthly.”
The quarterly (every 3 months) pikliz subscription is called “Spicy Enthusiast Quarterly” Plan.
For the Epis:
The monthly epis subscription is called “Epis Lover Monthly.”
The quarterly (every 3 months) epis subscription is called “Epis Enthusiast Quarterly” Plan.
How do I sign up for a subscription?
On the product page
1. Click on product you want to subscribe to (either the epis or pikliz).
2. Choose the size you would like. For epis, the sizes are 16 oz, 32 oz or 64 oz. For pikliz, the sizes are 8, 16, 32 or 80 oz). PLEASE NOTE: The size you choose is the size you will get every time your subscription is delivered
3. Click on “Subscribe and save”, then the two options will show up
4. Choose delivery frequency.
You can choose to be a “Spicy Enthusiast”, meaning your chosen size of pikliz will be delivered every 3 months (quarterly). Or you can choose to be a “Spicy Lover”, meaning your chosen size of pikliz will be delivered every month.
If you chose "Epis Enthusiast", meaning your chosen size of epis will be delivered every 3 months (quarterly). Or you can choose to be a "Epis Lover," meaning your chosen size of epis will be delivered every month.
How does the subscription work?
On the product page

2. Click on “Subscribe and save”, then the two options will show up
3. Choose delivery frequency. You can choose to be a “Spicy Enthusiast”, meaning your chosen size of pikliz or epis will be delivered every 3 months (quarterly). Or you can choose to be a “Spicy Lover”, meaning your chose size of pikliz or epis will be delivered every month.
4. When you are ready to check out, you will see your order with the subscription attached.
5. Keep in mind the card used to placed your order will be the same one billed either monthly or quarterly, depending on the subscription you
chose. However, no worries. With the subscription option, you have complete control over your subscription.
6. You can choose to skip, reschedule, edit or cancel deliveries anytime based on your needs.
Is there any savings for doing a subscription?
Yes. You will save 10% each
time. For example, a one-time purchase of an 8 oz pikliz is $12. However, if
you choose an 8 oz jar Spicy Lover monthly subscription, you automatically pay
$10.80 each month when you receive the 8 oz jar. Or, if you chose the 8 oz pikliz Spicy Enthusiast quarterly plan, you would receive the 8 oz jar every three months at
the $10.80 rate. You do not need any coupon codes
What is the cost for the subscription?
Subscription is based on the respective size you choose for either the pikliz or epis. For example, a one-time purchase of an 8 oz pikliz is $12. However, if you choose an 8 oz jar Spicy Lover monthly subscription, you automatically pay $10.80 each month when you

How do I change or cancel my subscription?
If you want to make a change, edit card information or cancel your subscription, you can do it at any time in the customer portal.
Please note this information is included in your order confirmation emails. The emails have links to your order, that you can follow, to easily manage your subscription in your customer portal.
Products and Product Preservation
What sizes do you offer in the pikliz?
We offer an 8, 16 and 32 oz jar of pikliz and an 80 oz family or party size.
What sizes do you offer in the epis?
In epis, we offer a 16, 32 oz or 64 oz family size.
What is best way to preserve my banana bread cake?
To preserve your banana bread cake(s)
1. Upon receipt, the banana bread cake can be left out at room temperature for up to 5 days if home temperature is 70 degrees or below. If higher than 70 degrees, you can leave out for 2 days then refrigerate for up to 14 days.
2. To refrigerate, wrap in saran wrap or place in a Ziplock fridge safe bag.
3. If your cake came without icing, you can microwave for 20 seconds or just leave out for a few minutes to bring up to room temperature and enjoy.
Best way to preserve my epis?
Here are some tips from Grann Marie to preserve your epis.
1. Keep the epis refrigerated at a temperature of 35 degrees or below.
2. Always use a clean spoon to add epis to a dish. The spoon you put in the dish, don’t put it back in the jar to take more. If you use it in the dish, then use another clean spoon. By always using a clean spoon, the epis will retain its beautiful color and last.
What are some ways I can use epis?
Epis can be used in all sorts of dishes.
• As a marinade, it can be added to all types of meats and seafood dishes.
• While cooking, a spoonful can be added to meats, ground meat, seafood, sauces, all types of bean sauces, rices (except white rice – if you want to retain the white coloring), pastas etc.
• Be sure to follow our social media channels to see recipes and use of epis.
What are some tips for pikliz?
Here are some tips from Grann Marie to preserve your pikliz.
1. Pikliz IS VERY HOT (not in temperature), but level of spicy heat, since Scotch bonnet peppers are used in the slaw. Therefore, be careful in the amount used with dishes.
2. Keep the pikliz refrigerated at a temperature of 35 degrees or below.
3. Always use a clean spoon/fork to take pikliz. The spoon/fork you put in the dish (or mouth), don’t put it back in the pikliz jar to take more. Always aim to use a clean spoon/fork. By doing this, the pikliz will retain its beautiful color and last.
4. Pikliz does not go bad. If you follow tips above, your pikliz can be used for even a year or more depending on how much you use. If you like to use it on everything, you can always take advantage of our subscription service where you get a jar of your size choice every month (Spicy Lover) or every 3 months (Spicy Enthusiast). What are some uses of pikliz?
Pikliz can be added to various prepared dishes. Remember it’s very hot (as in scotch bonnet pepper hot); therefore, if this is the first time you are using, try a little bit with a fork first to see how much heat you can handle first before using a large amount. A little bit goes a long way in the case of pikliz.
• Goes great with fried or boiled plantain, yam, potatoes etc and fried, baked, stewed, roasted beef, pork, chicken, seafood, turkey, any type of meat or seafood. Any dish that loves vinegar and spice, you can add a little bit to it to kick up the flavor or heat.
Shipping
How are products shipped?
In order to provide our great customers with the freshest products, Grann Marie’s pikliz and epis products are shipped to be received by customer in 1 to 2 business days max.
When are cakes shipped?
Cake products are shipped every Monday for orders received by the previous Thursday at 11:59 PM EST. If Monday is a holiday, then cake products are shipped on Tuesday.
What happens if I don’t make the Thursday cutoff?
You can still placed your order and it will be shipped the following Monday.
Do you ship worldwide?
We currently only ship within the 48 contiguous states (not including Hawaii and Alaska).
